This happened during the celebration of the “51st UAE Union Day” held in a Cairo hotel, in the presence of a number of ministers, senior Egyptian statesmen, members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Egypt, senior journalists, media professionals, artists and Islamic and Christian priests.

She explained: “Bilateral relations between the two countries today, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, have reached a peak, after witnessing great and qualitative development in all fields, until they became a model of Arab-Arab relations capable of facing all challenges in various fields.

And she continued: “On the basis of these solid foundations, the UAE and Egypt have been able to build strong economic relations based on two main axes, which are development cooperation, trade and investment cooperation and the development of successful partnerships, either at the level of the government or at the level of the private sector .”

She pointed out that “since the celebration of the golden jubilee of the country’s founding in 2021, and since then it has started working on fifty years of development, and in order to achieve this lofty goal, the UAE has approved the Document of Fifty Principles,” ten principles that represent a reference for the UAE during the next fifty years. Where it charts a strategic path for the UAE in the economic, political and development fields to strengthen the pillars of the union.

She explained that “the UAE has launched a package of projects and strategic initiatives that encourage the diversification of the economy away from oil, as it provides an incentive for investment in the digital economy, as well as sectors based on artificial intelligence and the fourth industrial revolution, including the launch of the UAE National Space Program and the establishment of the science sector and technologies, knowledge transfer and international cooperation.” .

And she emphasized that “in all parts of the world, the appreciation of the future agenda of the UAE and its established values ​​has increased, as a result of initiatives such as Expo 2020 Dubai, Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Abraham Peace Accords, the Human Brotherhood Document, among many other initiatives.”

And she continued: “The UAE is an incubator of the values ​​of tolerance, peace, security and cultural pluralism, as it includes more than 200 nationalities, who enjoy a decent life and respect by practicing their religious rituals, such as the laws of the UAE guarantee justice and equality for all and criminalize hatred and racism.”

And she added, “Over a 50-year career, the UAE has provided foreign aid worth 322 billion dirhams, reaching more than 175 countries and geographic regions around the world.”

And she continued: “In addition to its deep and respectable relations with all countries, which strengthens and reflects its principles based on openness, partnership, building bridges and working to consolidate peace and common interests of countries and peoples in a way that contributes to the achievement of international peace and security , and non-interference in the internal affairs of states.”

And she stressed that “the UAE and Egypt are linked by close historical relations based on a common awareness and understanding of the nature of regional and international changes that the region has witnessed and is still witnessing, and the importance of dealing with them in a consistent and integrated manner. policies and positions which consolidate Arab and regional security, whose foundations were laid by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, through a firm belief in the status of Egypt and its central role in the region.

For his part, the Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker conveyed the congratulations of the Egyptian President to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed on the occasion of the UAE National Day.

In his speech on behalf of the Egyptian Prime Minister, Shaker praised the fraternal attitudes of the United Arab Emirates in supporting his country, which enhances its experience in facing challenges, noting that this reflects the strong relations established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. , may God have mercy on him, who enjoys the love of every Egyptian.

He added: “The electricity and renewable energy sector has the largest share in the areas of cooperation between Egypt and the UAE, and these projects have contributed to the advancement of Cairo’s development, meeting the requirements of economic and social development and improving citizens’ living standards.”

He expressed the strength and sincerity of the historical relations between the UAE and Egypt, their peoples and the leaders of the two countries, and the outstanding relations in all economic and political fields.

And he emphasized that “the relations between the two countries date back to before 1971, which witnessed the reunification of the Emirates, pointing out that history will proudly record the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan as a man who instilled an orientation towards Egypt with all his love and respect and promised Emirati-Egyptian relations with care and attention.” And this has resulted in very prominent relationships.

In an exclusive interview with Al-Ain News, Shaker highlighted the love of the Egyptian people for their brothers in the United Arab Emirates, noting that he was surprised by the huge number of participants in the celebration.

And he said: “Because of the crowd, he had to leave his car in front of the hotel and participate in the celebration on foot.”

In the same context, Ambassador Abdul Rahman Al-Jumaa, Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the League of Arab States, wished the UAE continued progress, congratulating them on the 51st Union Day.

And he added, on Friday, in an interview with “Al-Ain News” that “Emirati-Saudi relations are integrated in all fields, and they show on the field as well.”

On the other hand, Senegal’s ambassador to Cairo, Dr. Abu Bakr Sarr, said: “The people of the UAE are friendly, old and tolerant,” noting that “Emirates Day is a holiday for Arabs as a whole.”

In an interview with Al-Ain News, Sarr explained that his country and the UAE have excellent cooperation in all fields, especially in energy and the port of Dubai in Senegal, noting that “the volume of investment between the two countries was 8 billion dollars.”
