His Excellency Mr. Salah bin Ghanem Al-Ali, Minister of Sports and Youth, affirmed that the slogan of this year’s National State Day, “Our unity is the source of our strength”, expresses the values ​​and principles of Statehood Day, presented in promoting loyalty, solidarity, unity and the pride of the Qatari national identity, emphasizing the value of authentic Qatari society, and introducing the young generation to the meanings of loyalty, togetherness and unity, instilling them in their souls through events, and defining Qatari heritage and history.

His Excellency Mr. Salah bin Ghanem Al-Ali said in a special statement to the Qatar News Agency (QNA) that this year’s motto emphasizes love for the motherland, work for its upliftment, dedication and loyalty to it, which we strive to achieve in service through our vision of “active and responsible youth with a sense of patriotism”.

On the occasion of the coincidence of the end of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022 with the celebration of the country’s National Day, His Excellency pointed out that awarding the organization of a major tournament of the size of the World Cup to the State of Qatar is an explicit international recognition. its ability to organize the tournament well, which requires the availability of immense capabilities of the host country, not only in stadiums and places of residence, but in the overall infrastructure, and the level of necessary services it provides, and the level of safety and security it enjoys, and above all the availability of capabilities and human energy that will organize and lead this great event, and achieve this dazzling and professional level that it has reached.

His Excellency, the Minister of Sports and Youth, continued: “Without a doubt, the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar can be considered one of the most important events that will leave an important national legacy, and we hereby affirm that the State of Qatar would not have acquired this international status and gained the trust and respect of the world, if it were not for the efforts and sacrifices made by successive generations who united and intensified their efforts, joined hands and promised since its establishment in the hands of the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, to build a strong modern state which is called Lebanon, and this is what we see today and the whole world confirms it.

He praised the achievements of the Ministry of Sports and Youth in the youth and sports sector in order to create a stimulating sports environment for the participation of society with all its components in sports and to empower young people to increase their contribution to building the state, based on strategic results and goals for sports and youth in within the framework of the second national development strategy 2018 – 2022, and the project assignment of the Ministry.

His Excellency pointed out that at the level of the youth sector, the Ministry implemented numerous significant programs and projects for youth, including the completion of the National Youth Policy, which is expected to contribute to the creation of general state policy and strengthening the role of youth. youth in achieving the National Vision of Qatar 2030.

He emphasized that investing in young people and their inclusion in development processes is imperative, not an option, and that in order to increase their participation, it is necessary to work on creating a stimulating environment for mobilizing motivation and highlighting their abilities.

In this regard, he pointed out that changes were being made to the statutes of most youth centers with the aim of activating the role of assemblies, and switching to an election system for the management of youth centers, as well as launching the Award for Excellence in Work with Youth in order to raise the level of performance , created competition and raised quality in youth institutions. With the implementation of the second edition of the Youth Ambassador Program to enable Qatari youth to acquire the necessary skills, representing the State of Qatar well in international forums.

His Excellency the Minister of Sports and Youth pointed out that among the other most prominent programs implemented by the Ministry is the establishment of the Qatar Youth Council, and the organization program of the 14th Robot Championship for School, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education. and the Arab Association for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, with the opening of the new headquarters of the Qatar youth hostels in September 2022. As well as the launch of the “Get Ready” program in cooperation with the Qatar Career Development Center, the launch of the “We are all responsible” campaign, support for the fifth edition of the Qatari Najah festival, the launch of devices for young people in the Al-Sailiya club and the “Muaither” club, as well as the launch of the Young Entrepreneurs Club in cooperation with a number of ministries and agencies in the country.

In the area of ​​the sports sector, His Excellency Mr. Salah bin Ghanim Al-Ali, Minister of Sports and Youth, stated that he is preparing national sports policies, developing a licensing system for engaging in activities, launching a sports Project Excellence Award, as well as implementing a national personnel development project, with the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Qatar Olympic Academy for a period of 5 years, and the implementation of a program to encourage investment in the field of sports, emphasizing that the Ministry attaches great importance to social sports, which contributed to the increase in the number of practitioners and participants.

Concluding his remarks, His Excellency confirmed that the Ministry continues to launch many important programs that will enhance the role of Qatari youth in the youth and sports sectors.
