NEW MARRIOTT BONVOY HOTELS AND RESORTS HAVE BEEN LAUNCHED
We’ve rounded up the list of hotels and resorts opening in 2023 in the Asia-Pacific region. From the opening of the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve villa resort in Jiuzhaigou to the highly anticipated expansion of the W Hotel in Sydney, the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio of 30 different brands is ready to deliver unforgettable experiences to travelers.
Japan
Tokyo Edition, Ginza (Q1 2023)

After the great success of opening Japan’s first EDITION hotel with The Tokyo Edition Hotel, Toranomon in late 2020, the next project, The Tokyo EDITION Hotel, Ginza, should strengthen the brand’s position as one of the leading contemporary brands in Asia. Hotel Tokyo Edition, Ginza will occupy a unique strategic location on Chuao Street, which represents one of the largest and most prestigious shopping and entertainment destinations in the city. The newly built hotel will feature 86 rooms and suites and three exceptional food and beverage destinations, including a rooftop lounge, as well as a meeting studio and fitness center.
BVLGARI HOTEL TOKYO (2nd quarter 2023)
Location: Tokyo, Japan
The magnificent Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo will occupy the upper floors (from the 39th to the 45th floor) of a new skyscraper recently built near Tokyo Station. Comprising 98 rooms, including the exceptional Bulgari Suite, it will house iconic Bulgari destinations such as Il Bar, Il Ristorante and Il Chocolateto. Spa Bulgari, which covers an area of 1,500 square meters, will provide visitors with an unparalleled wellness experience and will include a 25-meter indoor pool. Like all Bvlgari hotels, this hotel was designed by the famous Italian architect Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and is set to become one of the most impressive landmarks on the Tokyo skyline.
The Ritz-Carlton Resort, Fukuoka (Q2 2023)

The Ritz-Carlton Resort, Fukuoka will shine in the heart of the city’s central business district as it occupies a new 24-story mixed-use building where guests will be connected to a cluster of the Daimio area’s finest shopping, dining and entertainment experiences. The hotel boasts a strategic location, a 5-minute walk from Tenjin Station, a 15-minute drive from Hakata High-Speed Rail Station and a 30-minute drive from Fukuoka Airport. The hotel will occupy the 18th to 24th floors of the building and will contain 162 rooms and suites with the exclusive Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge. The hotel promises locals and visitors six exceptional dining experiences, including three restaurants, a lobby lounge and two lounges. The hotel also offers guests recreational facilities, including an indoor pool, not to mention the Ritz-Carlton’s signature fitness center and spa.
Shisui, a luxury collection hotel, Nara (Q3 2023)
Location: Nara, Japan
Tucked away in a historic temple garden, Shiosei, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nara will offer a vibrant interpretation of Japanese history, traditional architecture and culture, not to mention its stunning natural scenery. The new hotel is strategically located a 10-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Railway Station on the Kintetsu Nara Railway, which provides direct access to Kyoto in 35 minutes and Osaka in 45 minutes. Guests staying at the hotel also have at their disposal a restaurant that opens its doors to Around Clock, a lobby lounge and a fitness center. After a day of exploring and sightseeing, guests can relax at the renowned Luxury Collection spa, which has two private rooms and offers a luxurious suite of treatments to banish fatigue and restore energy and vitality.

The Ritz-Carlton Resort, Melbourne (Q1 2023)

The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne will provide invaluable service to visitors to Australia’s capital of art and life. The hotel is a beacon of Melbourne’s ancient culture, history and future, especially as it sits 270 meters above sea level to provide stunning views of the city’s majestic skyline. The hotel will welcome guests via a high-speed elevator that will take them directly to the Sky Lobby on the 80th floor of the hotel, from where there is a beautiful panoramic view of Melbourne and its surroundings. Le Meridien Melbourne (Q1 2023)
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Le Méridien is returning to the Australian market with Le Méridien Resort, which is expected to open in early 2023.
The 12-storey hotel is located on lively Bourke Street in the city’s CBD (Central Business District). It boasts an exceptional design, where the historic Art Deco-inspired facade blends with mid-20th century interior decor to reflect the unique European heritage the brand is proud of.
Located not far from Parliament Square, the hotel will have 235 elegant and contemporary rooms, a coffee shop and lounge on the ground floor, an all-day dining restaurant, 210 square meters of event space and a sun deck including a heated outdoor pool with an open sea view of the magnificent panorama of the city.
W Sydney (Q4 2023)

The long-awaited W Sydney will be the third W hotel in Australia, and will be located in the famous harbor city. The hotel will have 585 elegant rooms and suites. Guests can spend quiet time during the day or fun moments at night at the Wet Deck® restaurant, which reveals a beautiful view of Darling Harbour. The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant serving local cuisine and two lounges, including the brand’s signature lounge, taking the hotel’s vibrant dining and lounge offering to a new level. In addition, W Sydney will house the AWAY® Spa, FIT Gym, as well as 1,300 square meters of meeting and event space.
India
JW Marriott Goa Vagator (Q2 2023)

JW Marriott Goa Vagator will be a relaxing getaway in North Goa, among some of the best beaches in Western India. The hotel will have 151 guest rooms with simple and attractive decor inspired by the charming atmosphere of Goa. It promises its guests exceptional gastronomic experiences, including an all-day restaurant and JW Lounge. China
The Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Jiuzhaigou (Q2 2023)

W Macau – Studio City (Q3 2023)

Macau is a vibrant city and a unique leisure destination, and there is no doubt that it will be an ideal location for the soon-to-open W Macau – Studio City. The Studio City multi-community project is set to become a new landmark in the city and will include indoor and outdoor water parks, as well as a cinema complex and state-of-the-art facilities for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. W Macau – Studio City will be located at the heart of the complex and is expected to have 557 guest rooms, including 128 suites and the brand’s signature W Sound Suite, as well as a recording studio.
