Mohammed bin Salman chairs the cabinet meeting

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect him – chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers, held today, Tuesday, at the Al Yamama Palace in Riyadh.

At the beginning of the session, His Highness the Crown Prince informed the Council of Ministers about the content of the telephone conversation that, may God protect him, he had with His Excellency the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria and about its contents. overview of ways of developing joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The Council then discussed the entire foreign policy activities of the Kingdom in recent days, aimed at strengthening multilateral efforts through regional and international organizations. In a way that contributes to solving common challenges, especially in the humanitarian, security and environmental fields.
In this context, the Government considered the announcement of the launch of the second edition of the “Middle East Green Initiative Summit” and the “Saudi Green Initiative Forum” in the Arab Republic of Egypt next November, together with the United Nations Conference on Climate Change, as a reflection of the Kingdom’s commitment to support collective participatory action to solve environmental and climate challenges in the region and the world.

In his statement to the Saudi Press Agency after the session, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Acting Minister of Information, said the Council took note of the launch of a national initiative for global supply chains, which aims to strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a major hub and vital a link in global supply chains and for attracting quality industrial and service investments. With a value of 40 billion riyals during the first two years of the initiative’s launch, as part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to contribute to the stability and growth of the global economy.
The cabinet confirmed that the signing of two joint agreements by the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Aid and Assistance with the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for the prevention and fight against the spread of measles and polio in a number of countries comes within the framework of support for international efforts and initiatives aimed at eradicating this epidemic.
The Council touched on what was involved in the Kingdom’s participation in the high-level international conference on “international and regional cooperation in security and border management to fight terrorism and prevent the movement of terrorists” in Tajikistan, highlighting its efforts in this area at the regional and international level .
The Council of Ministers considered the topics that were on the agenda, including topics in the study of which the Shura Council participated, also considered the conclusions of the Council for Economic and Development Affairs, the Council for Political and Security Affairs, the General Committee of the Council of Ministers, and the Expert Council in the Council ministers.

Decisions of the Council:

The council concluded the following:
First:
Authorizing His Royal Highness the Minister of Energy – or his representative – to discuss with the Nigerian side the draft cooperation agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of Niger in the field of energy, sign it and then submit the final signed copy to complete the formal procedures.
Else:
Authorizing His Highness the Minister of Culture – or his representative – to discuss with the Tunisian side the draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tunisia for cooperation in the cultural field, sign it and then send the final signed copy, to complete regular procedures. .
The third:
Authorizing His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture – or his representative – to speak with the Center for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (Cedari) regarding the draft agreement between the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Center for Environment and development for the Arab region and Europe (Cedari) for cooperation in the fields of environmental protection, and to sign and then upload the final signed copy to complete the legal procedures.
Fourth:
Authorizing His Excellency the Minister of Investments – or his representative – to discuss with the Czech side the draft memorandum of understanding between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Czech Republic for cooperation in the field of direct investment promotion, Sub. that and then submit the final signed copy to complete the formal procedures.


Fifth:
Approval of the Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of export credit between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Approving the management of coordination between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and competent authorities regarding procedures related to industrial facilities.
Seventh:
Approval of promotion to (fourteenth) rank, as follows:
Zuhair bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Turki has been promoted to the position of (Architectural Engineering Consultant) at the (fourteenth) rank in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Abdulaziz bin Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Shaalan has been promoted to the position of (Director General) at the (fourteenth) rank in the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Calls and Guidance.
Khalid bin Saad bin Muhammad Al-Otaibi has been promoted to the position of (Business Adviser) at the (fourteenth) rank in the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing.
dr. Youssef bin Misfer bin Musifer Al-Sayali has been promoted to the position of (Social Service Consultant) at the (fourteenth) rank in the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
Promotion of Jamil bin Sharaf bin Abdullah Al-Sharif to the position of (Director General) to the (fourteenth) rank in the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin Muhammad Al-Ghamdi has been promoted to the position of (business advisor) at the (fourteenth) rank in the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
The Council of Ministers also considered a number of general issues on its agenda, including the annual reports of the National Center for Competitiveness, the Environmental Fund and the General Presidency for Scientific Research and Ifta, and the Council took the necessary measures in relation to these issues.
