One of the most important international tournaments held by the Academy was the ninth edition of the Fatima Bint Mubarak International Show Jumping Academy Cup, which was attended by more than 230 riders from more than 20 countries, who participated in 18 competitions in this prestigious global event. whose total prize pool is 685 thousand UAE dirhams. It is the only tournament dedicated only to female competition at the international level. After that, the Academy organized the fourth edition of the Women’s Blitz Chess Championship, which was held at the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club, where the number of participants reached almost 100 players, including 4 players with the title of Grand International Master, which is the highest title at the board game level.
The events organized by the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy last year were accelerated by the instructions of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Union of Women, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, “Mother Emirati”, and the close monitoring of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazaa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Council. The tournament was held at the Ju-Jitsu Arena in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi.
In addition to the launch of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Women’s Sports in its sixth edition, which is the first of its kind in the region, which mainly aims to empower women and highlight their achievements in the sports sector, so the event serves as an excellent opportunity for Arab sportswomen to appreciate and celebrating their achievements.
The academy has also established special teams under its umbrella, including volleyball and basketball teams and academy jockeys, and has provided empowerment programs by setting up training camps to encourage girls to take up sports professionally and gain the experiences they have through team-building exercises under under the supervision of specialized trainers Highly qualified and experienced.
